Membership Agreement for Wasatch Home Educators Network
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before signing the WHEN Membership Renewal Form, please read this agreement in its entirety, even if you already read it last year.
1. I agree to join a committee and be an active member of that committee who shares in the responsibilities.
2. As a member of WHEN, my family and I agree to conduct ourselves with integrity and courtesy. Parents are responsible for making sure children behave appropriately at all activities and field trips. All rules and guidelines will be strictly followed for all activities and programs in which WHEN participates.
3. WHEN-sponsored activities are not to be advertised on other email lists except open activities (Open activities are Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Science Fair, Support Group meetings and School Pictures. Roller skating at Classic Skating is not sponsored by WHEN and is open to all homeschoolers.).
4. I can personally invite my non-WHEN friends to any TWO WHEN-exclusive activities to show them what kinds of activities are sponsored by WHEN and they will pay any non-WHEN member fees if required. If my friends desire to participate in more activities, I will encourage them to join WHEN.
5. I agree to meet deadlines for submitting fees and newsletter articles. I further agree to follow through on any verbal agreements I make to my fellow committee members and to WHEN (i.e., if I commit to be somewhere at 8:00 with donuts, then I will do my very best to be there at 8:00 with donuts).
6. I agree that if I am personally unable to keep a commitment myself, I am responsible to find someone else to do it.
7. I understand that neither I nor my committee is at liberty to cancel an official WHEN activity. We are free, however, to postpone it or change it according to the needs of our committee and the greater WHEN membership.
8. I agree to keep all phone numbers and addresses of any other WHEN members strictly confidential and will not allow them to be used for any purpose other than WHEN-sponsored activities.
9. I agree to read and follow all rules from companies who sponsor educational activities and accept rewards only for our own immediate family members who are school-aged and meet guidelines.
10. I understand that failing to honor any of these guidelines is grounds for loss of my family’s membership in WHEN.
